Shall we settle for disagreeing… for this is what incites
and stirs up controversy… instead of taking the high road
to: equality, respect and seeking a moral and honorable
status for the next generation is established by the in-road
of inclusion, this will not be seen if people like Rep. Lewis
continue to maintain Trump is not a ‘legitimate president,’
this view does not give the US its strength to see ahead or
to face obstacles, a step back on the bridge in Selma lent,
what happened to lose sight of the greater goal,”The Dream”
to equality by a Civil Rights Leader to desire segregation
over accepting loss by Party failure, thinking any of us as
Americans first are any more deplorable than discrimination.
Words of the POTUS before Jan. 20th, 2017, regarding tweets… but can also be applied to the naivety of disregarding our own history before engaging in biased thoughts of our own time (today)- our own legacy slighted and forgotten.
“We are moving into an era where a lot of people get their information through tweets and soundbites and some headline that comes over their phone,” the president said. “There’s a power in that. There’s also a danger — what generates a headline or stirs up a controversy and gets attention isn’t the same as the process required to actually solve the problem.”
He warned people not to “underestimate the guy” and urged congressional Republicans and Trump supporters around the country to be sure “that as we go forward, certain norms, certain institutional traditions don’t get eroded, because there’s a reason they’re in place.”
[Please keep in mind one thing about Rep. John Lewis, this is a man that stood up for ‘Civil Rights’, a man of character and strength to face adversaries against equality (in the past). PLEASE NOTE: Nothing was said when a POTUS violated the US Constitution… when POTUS Obama co-hosted a summit meeting at the UN… there was silence! Nothing was said when POTUS Obama misled America and ignored Congress either!
To see a man, a Black man… a Representative of the people, wonder if this country is facing an uncertainty of an ‘ill-legitimate president’ and would base this (on speculative Russian influence vs. the failings of Party or candidate) as his personal reason for not attending a Presidential Inauguration? Is this not the equivalent to taking a knee during the National Anthem? Just a thought, and it is little wonder as to ‘why’ the Democratic Party [my own Party… I did not vote for Hillary] lost the election.

[What is found below the line was added on Jan. 18th, 2017… and in this writer’s mind as pertinent to topic as any might view them to be. For the sake of supposition, it is the theater of the minds being affected by actions of political figures in question- are they as benign as they’d appear to be or left in the hollow interior of contempt… believing only in the concepts of an ideology (in this case Liberalism) but altering the application of it to suit their own views? If this is the case, then what we would have done, in the US… and by vote in a democracy, is to impede the progression of a foisted alternative to Liberalism by libertines- those out for themselves. If, in fact, as it is (or would seem to be) falsely thought ‘the essence of liberalism is tolerance’, then why is there such angst being expressed by the left, and… can one explain why there is more of a prevailing connection with Liberalism and anarchy?]
“ … deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
US Declaration of Independence
Tolerant: open-minded, unprejudiced, understanding, forgiving
Tolerate: permit, accept

Liberalism comes in many forms. According to John N. Gray, the essence of liberalism is toleration of different beliefs and of different ideas as to what constitutes a good life.
[Found under Harm principle]
Harm can also result from a failure to meet an obligation. Morality generates obligations. Duty may be exacted from a person in the same way as a debt, and it is part of the notion of duty that a person may be rightfully compelled to fulfill it.
“Excellence overcomes prejudice”

There were a couple of reasons I could not vote for Hillary: duplicity by Party, overt lies about American lives lost and what actually happened in Benghazi, aid and assistance offered to an International cause… outside of the concerns (scope) of US policy for American interests (American by nature), and her affront to justice by using (by [possible] influence peddling) an FBI Director… one unwilling to pass the illegal nature of ‘mishandling Classified material’ off to the Justice Dept. for scrutiny of truth by claim.
