Change is a road open and clear…

no obstructions or impediments,

it is unabated by familiarity…

comfortable is not conformed to

its experience when its unknown

but change can be welcomed for:

the newness of Spring, a season

beyond boundaries confined to or

the unlimited supply of optimism,

expressed by the potential for hope.

Change… what can be a breeze

to uplift a sullen soul or the sunlight

breaking through the fog of in-

difference… seldom embraced by

complacency or enjoyed by the

many faces mediocrity encourages,

and never looked for when the scope

of one’s view chooses not to look at

the horizon ahead as a destination…

unbarring the fruit of our current

hardship’s displeasure and the gain

of our risk to step toward change itself.

“There remain many loose ends from our discussion. Still, it emerges that the connection between change and inconsistency is deep, and that the case for inconsistencies in motion and other change is surprisingly robust.”

“It would be strange to claim that it is only our beliefs about the different types of activities that change.”

If you don’t like something change it; if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.                                                                                               Mary Engelbreit

He who rejects change is the architect of decay. The only human institution which rejects progress is the cemetery.                                                   Harold Wilson

They must often change, who would be constant in happiness or wisdom.                                                                                            Confucius

The only difference between a rut and a grave is their dimensions.                                                                                                                                                                       Ellen Glasgow

To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly.                                                                                                                     Henri Bergson

What you have become is the price you paid to get what you used to want.                                                                                                  Mignon McLaughlin, The Neurotic’s Notebook, 1960

Those who expect moments of change to be comfortable and free of conflict have not learned their history.                                                                                                     Joan Wallach Scott

God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it’s me.                                                                              Author Unknown

[This one is one of my own, below.]

“If one would fear change… then nothing changes. If the world changes and our views do not… we are either strong in our beliefs being from a higher calling or left shaking in our own boots to the fear of the change we see around us.” Russell D. Holder

There may be cause to change for the better, but have nothing to do with them that are given change.

To place one’s trust in Jesus is to                                                                                  open the door for radical change                                                                                    in the meaning of life itself.
