We all have difficulties in our living… and this is a sad fact of life. Our problems do come and go and often at inopportune times (according to how we might think it or feel as we go through them). I would say we all have the potential to question why here but resist this temptation ( for God knows what we can handle and what we can’t ) and look for the best results to come from after the ordeal, the trial God has placed us in is for His glory to be seen, for we are to remain calm throughout and know it is by His grace we will make it through- even if we see no possible way to its conclusion. God is bigger than any problem we might face… and I’m reminded of the disciples (the Apostles) on the boat when they saw Jesus walking toward them on the water. In the midst of the storm is Jesus found with us… and to know He is there with you should make all the difference for our own mindset, spirit and soul. Was it not when Jesus got into the boat and uttered the words,“Peace, be still,” when the storm abruptly stopped? God has not changed one bit… from that day until now, and we should gain full confidence from this- God is unchanging.

When the trials this life brings come to bowl you over… let Jesus be your focus and emphasis here, and allow what He has placed at your feet to gain this trust- He has a purpose to it and you will be the benefactor to something special as a result of it happening (even when the times make it seem that much more personal than you might like them to be). We must trust God knows best… and He does, for there is either a personal lesson to be learned or something another might see found in you (the calm you should exhibit as you are going through your trial) that will speak volumes to them of your faith you have- the goal is and has always been to share the Gospel of Jesus in our living day-to-day. This is where Jesus will work through us to best affect a change in someone else and gain our own trust and confidence in God Himself. Please loved one, do not think for a minute that God has given up on you, for this is not true (a lie), but you have to keep your faith and know the hope and surety of God’s love for you is real.

As always, I would request that you pray first… prior to reading the scripture provided, that you might be granted a deeper understanding of God’s word and find the truth of God within your heart when it is over.

2 Corinthians 8:2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

Hebrews 11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Matthew 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still . And the wind ceased , and there was a great calm.

Psalm 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still .

Forever is the very hand of God open to those who call themselves the children of God, for those who believe that Jesus is the lamb of God… their LORD and Savior. It is wise for men and women to know Him for who He is… LORD God almighty, the Creator God. Once you open your heart to this belief is the time His calm will come to you… no matter what you will be going through- no matter how extreme or difficult it might seem. Will you also be open to His truth… His peace… His calm? I pray it will be so. Maranatha (Our LORD comes). (D.V.)
